TIKTOK SHOP / BELGIUM

TikTok Shop Belgium EPR: Seller Preparation

TikTok’s official launch announcement states that TikTok Shop became available in Belgium from 15 June 2026. Platform access and a seller’s environmental obligations are separate questions; confirm your account eligibility and product scope before relying on a launch announcement.

A platform registration is not an EPR registration

TikTok describes cross-market selling features in its announcement. That commercial onboarding does not establish registration in each destination’s packaging or product system. US, UK and Chinese businesses should verify which entity can use the relevant seller route and retain the current account instructions.

Check the three relevant environmental streams

Start with the packaging around the goods. Assess electrical equipment and batteries separately where the product involves them. Build a product-by-country record so the relevant registration, scheme evidence or mandate can be matched to the legal seller. A packaging record alone cannot establish compliance for an appliance or battery.

Electronics checks need electronics evidence

Recupel’s Belgian marketplace guidance describes checking seller affiliation or approved individual waste-management arrangements for electronics. This is not proof that TikTok uses the same packaging field, deadline or account process. Read the exact notice and identify the stream before submitting evidence.

Keep a launch evidence pack

Retain the seller entity, eligible markets, products, packaging data, registration and scheme records, applicable mandates and actual platform messages. Track pending and accepted items separately. BelComply focuses on Belgium with EU-wide coverage; PPWR EPR representation and GPSR product-safety services are scoped independently.
